The Music
Lurking beneath the surface of this TV hero is a celebrated and captivating keynote speaker, best selling author, revered harmonica player and musician. Les’s musical talents - ranging from folk-roots rock to blues to contemporary art-rock - have made him a must-see performer. Amazingly, he has found the time to release four albums and is working on his fifth album “Mother Earth” with legendary producer Mike Clink and which includes a cameo by Slash.
The Man
Best known as star of the hit TV series Survivorman, Les Stroud continues to forge new pathways as a prolific, creative force. He has been thrilling audiences with his survival skills and unique approach to television since the first season of Survivorman. Les’s celebrated accomplishments have earned him 17 Canadian Screen Award nominations with two wins. As the only producer in the history of television to produce an internationally broadcast series entirely written, videotaped and hosted alone; Les is credited with conceiving the entire genre known as ‘Survival TV.’ Earning him the nickname of Godfather of survival.
