Die Hard: 30th Anniversary

“In Die Hard, Bruce Willis is your basic little guy up against a gang of international terrorists, and they've got chainsaws and machine guns and plastic explosives and he has just the one measly handgun.
“It's Christmas Eve, and Willis, playing a New York cop named John McClane, has flown to L.A. to visit his estranged wife (Bonnie Bedelia). He goes to the high-rise office building where she works for the Nakatomi Corp. and finds her and her fellow workers having a Christmas party on the 30th floor. The rest of the building is empty.
“Which is why the terrorists headed by Hans Gruber (Alan Rickman), have elected to take it over. Their object is $600 million worth of bearer bonds in the Nakatomi vault. The vault is protected by seven locks, the seventh of which has an "electromagnetic seal" that - according to Hans’ computer expert - it would take a miracle to break.
“There are good performances from everyone in this often funny, very violent but exciting melodrama.” - New York Daily News
