Very Semi-Serious is an offbeat documentary about humor, art and the genius of the single panel.  The film goes behind-the-scenes of The New Yorker and introduces the cartooning legends and hopefuls who create the iconic cartoons that have inspired, baffled—and occasionally pissed off—all of us for decades.

Filmmaker Lisa Immordino Vreeland examines the life of Peggy Guggenheim, the wealthy socialite who developed an extensive art collection. A portrait of a patron of the arts extraordinaire who transformed a modest fortune and impeccable taste into one of the premiere collections of twentieth century art.

Art is a reflection of the place from which it emerges. Tell Them We Were Here chronicles artists living and working in the San Francisco Bay Area who follow a path that is less careerist and more community driven, much like the place itself. The featured artists extend the legacy of Bay Area activism and social consciousness through their influential yet unconventional careers.

This documentary brings forward a popular era while unearthing many artists, photographers, and stories that you may not already know.
