Two spaceships are investigating a distress beacon on a mysterious planet.  The crew of one ship loses contact with the other and soon discovers that they all died – fighting each other!  The surviving crew realizes they are not alone on the planet – it’s inhabited by aliens who want to escape by possessing their bodies!

From 1965, Planet of the Vampires is directed by Mario Bava (“Black Sunday” and “Black Sabbath”).  Upon release, Variety reviewed it as “…plot is punctuated with gore, shock, and wild optic and special effects...Color camera work and production values are smooth and first class...should keep the young on the edge of their seats and the older set from falling asleep"

"The VOC are proud to be included in the Kitchener Waterloo Film Festival!  Don’t just buy a ticket for our show, buy a festival pass and see all their awesome films!"
