Black Lives Matter

Cinema Politica presents

Featuring two brand new short films about resistance in Ferguson, Missouri:

HANDS UP! (http://www.handsupdocumentary.com/)
&
FERGUSON DOCUMENTED: IN 36 HOURS (https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/a-short-documentary-film-about-fergus...)
+
a post-film discussion with a special guest from BLACK LIVES MATTER TORONTO

Each season, Cinema Politica Waterloo screens three documentaries exploring a political or activist theme. The winter's connecting theme between all films is #BLACKLIVESMATTER and we will be showing films which explore different aspects of anti-Black racism, the criminal (in)justice system, and the inspiring movement combating police brutality in North America (particularly the USA).
