Dragnet Girl accompanied by the VOC Silent Film Harmonic

Like all good gangster movies, Dragnet Girl (1933) tells the story of family, love, and redemption as a gangster and his girlfriend deal with the consequences of their actions.  Directed by Yasujirō Ozu - Tokyo Story (1953), Floating Weeds (1959) - this gangster noir classic is visually stunning, filled with light and shadows.

Kitchener-Waterloo’sVOC Silent Film Harmonic was formed in 2007 with the idea of performing live and improvised music to accompany silent films, inspired by the way these classic films would have originally been presented.
