Tolkien from childhood (Harry Gilby, Just Charlie) through young adulthood (Nicholas Hoult, Mad Max: Fury Road), the film chronicles how Tolkien channeled the most formative events of his life into the richly conceived fantasy world we've all come to love.
From the trenches of World War I to the libraries of Oxford, Tolkien provides a charming, moving, and intimate portrait of one of the most important artists of the 20th century.
