Hello Playhouse Friends,
We miss you! And we miss movies. Heck, we miss normal life, but we are all in this together.
The Playhouse announced its temporary closure on March 16, the day before the province ordered all cinemas to shut down. It was clear it was the only thing we could do: we simply did not want to expose our staff and community to the virus. After the closure, our first priority has been our staff and making sure they will be okay during this temporary shut down.
It's strange not to be promoting movies and looking forward to our weekly premieres. The next Playhouse Film Guide was fully booked and would have been printed and distributed by now. Obviously, all that is on hold until further notice. Once the pandemic threat is over and we can congregate together again, there will be a deluge of great theatrical releases. We can't wait!
While we can't show movies right now, we definitely will be showing them again in the near future. For those of you who had purchased advance tickets for a film that was cancelled, hold on to those tickets. They will be good for any regularly-priced movie of your choice.
