"If you want to feel joy, head straight to Yesterday. It’s a heartfelt and humorous tale from Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire) and screenwriter Richard Curtis (Love, Actually) about a struggling musician (Himesh Patel) who wakes up in an alternate reality where he’s the only person aware the Beatles ever existed.

"While Joan's early years are absolutely fascinating, it is the refreshing concept of Dench's elderly communist agent that gives this drama its real bite and edge." - Daily Mirror

“A good old-fashioned British spy thriller with a bewitching female heroine (or anti-heroine, if you will) played by the excellent actresses Judi Dench and (as her younger self) Sophie Cookson, Red Joan revisits the incredible real-life spy case of Melita Norwood. It is directed with a strong sense for character by Trevor Nunn, the former director of the Royal Shakespeare Co.

"Extraordinary on every level, Lulu Wang's The Farewell starring an award-caliber Awkwafina builds a funny, touching and vital film about what makes a family in any culture, leaving you with cathartic tears." - Rolling Stone

“‘Based on an actual lie’ is writer-director Lulu Wang’s way of introducing her (actually true) story; a sly title card to qualify the bittersweet dramedy of deception that follows.

"Jarmusch has brought the B-movie zombie flick back from the dead: this is a disarmingly intelligent riff on politics, parodies, and the futility of it all." - Film Inquiry

"Jim Jarmusch addresses the state of the nation and global ecological catastrophe in this deadpan zombie apocalypse movie that goes straight for the jugular by placing Steve Buscemi's racist farmer in a MAGA-style cap that simply states 'Keep America White Again'.

"Remember his name? The dude is unforgettable, now more than ever thanks to this film's excellent, incandescent illumination." - Globe & Mail

“In David Crosby: Remember My Name, A.J. Eaton’s moving and elegiac rock-nostalgia documentary, David Crosby appears before us as an older and wiser hippie troubadour, his signature long locks and frontier mustache now white, his spirit chastened but still keyed to the muse of his holy boomer-rock self.

"With a softened lens, British documentarian Nick Broomfield adoringly examines a fascinating relationship in a fascinating time that saw Cohen transition from a poet to a world-class songwriter." - Globe & Mail

Return engagement! “The Greek island of Hydra was Eden for a group of 1960s free-love artists and intellectuals who flocked to an idyllic paradise with sun-dappled beaches, cheap living and plentiful mind-expanding drugs to turn on, tune in, drop out.
