It's been a very presidential week... and with that, we're opening the rock / politics documentary, Jimmy Carter: Rock & Roll President. Did you know he was the first president to openly embrace rock music? This documentary digs into his relationship with too many legendary musicians to name. Check it out starting Friday, scroll down to get tickets.

Food security is a big, big issue, now and in the future. Get a jump start on how we can, and maybe should be eating with the new Canadian documentary, First We Eat, opening this weekend. It's a stunning film, with a family at the centre trying something completely radical... "Filmmaker, Suzanne Crocker, living 300 km from the Arctic Circle, decides to put food security to the test in the far North by removing absolutely all grocery store food from her house."

Calling all cinephiles! Don't miss The Projectionist, opening this week. Directed by legendary indie director, Abel Ferrara (Bad Lieutenant, The Addiction), The Projectionist is an engaging look at the 1970s-era of independent cinemas through the eyes of one immigrant family; it "shines a light on an underground culture, fighting for survival, then and now." (Film Comment). New indie horror / sci-fi opening this weekend with Brandon Cronenberg's Possessor Uncut. Yes, Brandon is the offspring of David, and "if this is just a taste of what Brandon Cronenberg has in store for cinema, then long live the new flesh." - Globe & Mail

Scroll down to grab tickets and see more information on visionary director, Miranda July's new film Kajillionaire (it's amazing, see it) and get tickets to our one-night-only screening of All The President's Men on the 10th. Timelier than ever and a RARE chance to see it on the big screen!
