Just in time for Oktoberfest-season, we are opening a German-themed film this Friday with The Keeper. The Keeper is the stunning true story of Bert Trautmann and his journey from German PoW in WW2 to becoming the legenday goalkeeper for the Manchester City Football Club. Critics are loving The Keeper as well; it's rated 90% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes!

Calling all music (and meditation) fans! We've got the brand new 2020 documentary, Meeting The Beatles in India. The film includes exclusive new footage of the band, plus stories and more from their 1968 trip to meet and study transcendental meditation with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. This is a trip that forever changed the path for the world's most-legendary rock band and a documentary that is a must-see for fans of the ever-fab four.

Experience cult-classic films this week at the Playhouse, with what many consider to be the best of the Anime genre, Ghost in the Shell. Finally, the spirit of the season is upon us: must be the season of the witch, yeah. Halloween movies at the Playhouse begin this week with John Landis' An American Werewolf in London. One of the earliest films to bridge the gap between horror and comedy, this is a rare chance to see a genuine horror classic on the big screen and the first-ever Oscar-winner for Best Make-up! What was intended to be a peaceful protest at the 1968 Democratic National Convention turned into a violent clash with police and the National Guard. The organizers of the protest—including Abbie Hoffman, Jerry Rubin, Tom Hayden and Bobby Seale—were charged with conspiracy to incite a riot and the trial that followed was one of the most notorious in history.
