Waterloo – Only one night left to be a part of the most successful Canada Film Days festival. This is the 8th year of the festival showcasing Canadian feature films. Canada Film Days attracted nearly 1000 people over the past seven days to Uptown Waterloo’s Princess Cinema. It has seen record crowds since the event started eight years ago! “When I am on stage announcing the films and talking about the festival, audiences cheer and shout out ' we love it,” Princess Cinemas owner John Tutt explains. “Canadian audiences are fiercely loyal and interested in Canadian cinema.”

Thom Ernst wrote that, so it seemed only fitting that we should invite him (our favourite film host!) to introduce ALGONQUIN as the Closing Night film of Canada Film Days 2014 on May 8th. We're thrilled that Director Jonathan Hayes and Producers Jane Motz-Hayes and David Miller also will be in attendance to answer audience questions and talk about the production. ALGONQUIN screens #CFD14 May 7 & 8. (David Miller will be in attendance for Q & A on both nights.)

We're thrilled that so many of our local politicians --municipal, provincial and federal-- will represent at the 8th Annual Canada Film Days, May 1st - 8th at the Original Princess. Starting May 1st, Kitchener Councillor Bil Ioannidis (@bilioannidis on Twitter) will be teaming up with old friend, David Miller, to introduce the 9:20pm screening of Bruce McDonald's THE HUSBAND. David Miller (@davidmillerA71), formerly of Kitchener, is the producer of THE HUSBAND & ALGONQUIN.
