Directed by the master of that particular genre, Paul Verhoeven (Basic Instinct, anyone?), critics are saying ELLE is a career best for him, which is saying a lot! ELLE walked away with some serious hardware at last week's Golden Globes, winning in two categories: Best Foreign Film and Best Actress (Drama). Isabelle Huppert's win for ELLE was something of an upset, as Natalie Portman (Jackie) was considered to have that one in the bag!
