FILMS SHOWING Friday Dec 2 to Thursday Dec 8

Two new BIG premieres coming to the Princess... just in time for the celebrated RE-OPENING of King St. in Uptown. Hallelujah! Watch for both 'Loving' and 'Moonlight' to get multiple Oscar nominations. Yes, these movies are getting that kind of attention and we couldn't agree more. Sure bets, we'd say. Note that 'Moonlight' is playing at both Princess locations on opening. Looking forward to seeing you in Uptown this weekend. The atmosphere will be festive!

"There are few movies that speak to the American moment as movingly — and with as much idealism — as Jeff Nichols’s Loving." New York Times

Oscar-Nominated: Best Actress. "Richard and Mildred Loving (Joel Edgerton and Ruth Negga) aren’t much different from other married couples struggling to get by in rural Virginia in the 1950s. About the only unusual thing about their relationship, considering the time and place, is that Mildred is black and Richard is white.

"'The Eagle Huntress' is all at once an inspiring story for children of all ages to believe that they can do anything, a reflection of the unfairness of gender roles and a rare and unique look at a remote part of the world." - New York Daily News

"It seems impossible to conceive of training wild eagles, with their seven-foot wingspans and razor-sharp talons, yet the Kazakh people of Mongolia have been doing so for centuries. For 13-year-old Aisholpan Nurgaiv, participating in this sacred practice means being the first female in twelve generations of her family to become an eagle hunter.

"Deliciously perverse, delightfully twisty, and unapologetically erotic." - James Berardinelli, ReelViews

“Expectations are fully met in Park Chan-wook’s exquisitely filmed The Handmaiden (Agassi), an amusingly kinky erotic thriller and love story that brims with delicious surprises, making its two-and-a-half hours fly by.
