What a special weekend it will be at the Princess as we open the most anticipated film of the year, Martin Scorsese's The Irishman!

Be some of the first people in Canada to catch this soon-to-be-iconic film on the big screen, in the right environment with the best sound quality and picture before it heads to the small-screen. This is a movie event that demands to be experienced in a cinema, with full uninterupted immersion (and a bag of the best popcorn in hand!)

Stellar reviews for the film from across the globe... "The Irishman accomplishes something that is rather difficult in contemporary cinema: to be epic and intimate, subtle and piercing..." ... "It's the ultimate fusing of Scorsese's two sides... the movie is a masterpiece, one made by a man counting down his own years as if they were rosary beads."

Opening the Original this Saturday at 7pm is the sweetest little film, coming all the way from Sweden... Britt-Marie Was Here: "A 63-year-old woman walks out on a loveless marriage and takes a job in a run-down town, coaching a rag-tag children's soccer team." Love it!

Great news for fans of Studio Ghibli... We've got two screenings of the classic animated film, Spirited Away at the Original (Sunday and Tuesday)!

On Saturday, we've got a one-night-only return screening of Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. This one is sure to be Oscar-bound. Catch it on the big screen while you still can.

Winter sports and sports doc fans, this week we've got something JUST FOR YOU: Warren Miller's Timeless screens at the Twin on Thursday at 7:30pm! The best skiing and snowboarding on the big screen, just to get you in the spirit of the season! Limited tickets left!

Four of our favourite films of 2019 continue this weekend and next week, including Parasite, Jojo Rabbit, Harriet, Pain & Glory plus Downton Abbey! Please note that some of our late (9pm) shows at the Original have been updated to accommodate extra screenings of Parasite. Please double-check the website before coming to the cinema from Nov 22-28. Many thanks!
