Please note! The Sunday, July 23rd screening of Highlander, as advertised in the Original Film Guide, has been cancelled. We were unable to secure the rights to screen the film theatrically. We had a printing deadline and found out after we had gone to press. Our apologies! "There can be only one..."

PG

"A riveting and even inspiring look at two prominent adversaries who came together to do what was right. Magnificently accomplished performances from Spall and Meaney." - Movie Nation

The Journey seems like your typical buddy movie, though with one significant twist. The film’s central characters aren’t cliché Hollywood cops, they’re the true-life warrior politicians who negotiated the landmark 2006 peace agreement in Northern Ireland, winding down the Troubles to what was (in theory) an official endpoint.

" Elliott does some of his finest work in one of the best movies in his career, a drama that feels like a biography." (Minneapolis Star Tribune)

“In The Hero, Sam Elliott claims the center stage, in a role that often slyly invokes his iconic stature and voice.

"If you love art, history, France, meticulous camera work and fine acting, Cezanne et Moi is for you." Inspired by the lifelong friendship between painter Paul Cézanne and novelist Emile Zola

“Cézanne et Moi is the story of the lifelong friendship between Paul Cézanne and Émile Zola; and nothing about it was easy. Zola enjoyed fairly early success as a novelist, but not until he’d spent long years almost freezing and starving to death.

G

"This transcendent new doc takes a broad, expansive view of those travelling the Camino, and it’s got another hook: it’s underscored by music from J.S. Bach’s six suites for solo cello." - NOW

In the footsteps of Walking the Camino, Tristan Cook’s lively portrait of modern pilgrims and fellow travelers winding their way on the Camino de Santiago muses on the psychological and spiritual dividends of a 30-day hike. The landscape is beautiful but brutal, the dorms are packed and the bunks are hard. Some find solace in solitude; others discover kinship and community en route.

No screenings currently scheduled.

PG

"Anglophiles and history-loving filmgoers will adore 'Churchill,' an extremely well made film that is the best example of British heroic portraiture since 'The King's Speech.'" - Colin Covert, Minneapolis Star Tribune

The untold story of Britain’s most celebrated leader, Winston Churchill, and his indefatigable efforts to save Britain from the Nazis and free Nazi-occupied Europe.

PG

"If you’re longing for a delicious romantic romp to take your mind off the world going to hell in hand basket, 'Paris Can Wait' is it. A two-day road trip that shimmers with so many enticing temptations you may want to lick the screen." - Rolling Stone

“Eleanor Coppola serves up a sweet little divertissement with Paris Can Wait, a charming travelogue/food-a-thon about two acquaintances on a two-day road trip from Cannes to Paris.

No screenings currently scheduled.

14A

"Hayek turns Beatriz into her own breed of wonder woman, Lithgow’s Strutt is definitely a super villain of sorts and their head-to-head battle is clearly worth seeing even if, in real life, it has only begun." - RogerEbert.com

"Beatriz (Salma Hayek) is a deeply spiritual massage therapist and healer, and about the last person you’d expect to meet at a swanky dinner party held in a luxurious hilltop home. So she’s a bit taken aback when her client Cathy (Connie Britton) invites her to just such an affair.

No screenings currently scheduled.

PG

“As perhaps the greatest artist there has ever been – and as one of the most fascinating and complex personalities of his era – Michelangelo is a thrilling subject for serious as well as dramatic cinematic documentary treatment.

No screenings currently scheduled.

STC

“Composer Scott Freiman’s love for The Beatles runs so deep, he’s considered one of the world’s foremost Fab Four scholars.
