For over 30 years the Princess has been presenting the best of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Formerly known as The World's Best Commercials, this has been a long-standing annual event that's highly anticipated by its legion of admirers. See what the best and brightest in the advertising world are up to, and have a grand, entertaining time while you're at it!

Catch Exhibition on Screen with Leonardo: The Works (Jan 3 & 4 at the Original.) One of the best and most-talked-about films of the year, Parasite, continues its highly successful run with us at the Twin. Many pundits are predicting it will get a Best Picture nomination, so don't let its title (or subtitles) put you off seeing this outstanding film! Also, we're giving you another chance to see The Irishman on the big screen (the only place to see it), Jan. 2 at the Original.

Last chance! We have limited tickets for the *prorated" FILM TALK pass. The monthly moderator is Thom Ernst, former host of TVO's Saturday Night at the Movies. There are 5 more in the monthly series; the next Film Talk is this Wednesday, January 8. (Our first in the series in December was a pre-release screening of Michael Apted's 63 Up. A very lively discussion with a sociologist from University of Waterloo followed. It was a great kick-off to the entire series and we can't wait to present our next "secret" film and guest speaker!)

“In classical Hollywood cinema, most movies rush forward, like a river or roller coaster, along a steady course toward a certain objective. Not so Trey Edward Shults’ brilliant, audacious third feature, Waves, whose enigmatic title suggests how its visionary young writer-director sets out to challenge our ideas of how and why things happen in life.

Special presentation

The Pollinators opens under a predawn thread of red light along a highway near California’s almond orchards. Hundreds of wooden boxes, stacked like dresser drawers on the back of tractor trailers, are surrounded by a soft veil of honeybees. Bob Harvey, a beekeeper at Bob’s Bees, estimates 18,000 honeybee hives or 40 truckloads will arrive that day.
