FILMS SHOWING Friday Feb 1 to Thursday Feb 7

We sell advance tickets for all our shows!

Perhaps there is no other annual screening that is as enduring at the Princess as the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Better known as 'The World's Best Commercials,' it has been a Princess audience favourite since the mid- 1980s. Amazingly, these diminuitive films just keep getting better and better. It's a great night out: don't miss it! We're proud to have back on the big screen this year's most nominated Oscar-contender, ROMA (tied with 'The Favourite,' with 10 nominations). Trust us, this movie demands to be seen on the big screen to fully appreciate its achievements. If you've only seen it on Netflix, you are doing yourself a disservice. Now is your chance to experience what all the fuss is about. Speaking of "fuss," last November a number of musical luminaries paid tribute to one of the greatest stars of all --Canada's own Joni Mitchell-- when she turned 75. The event was filmed and will be presented for one night only on Feb. 7. All serious music fans need to be there! We could drink a case of her, and still be on our feet. We have lots of other great movies at the Princess this week, so keep scrolling!

Feb. 7, 7pm, Twin.  The Music Center Presents JONI 75: A Birthday Celebration. Audiences will join an incredible array of singers and musicians who came together to honor one of the world’s most remarkable artists, Joni Mitchell, on her 75th birthday. The hand-selected group of peers and protégés including Brandi Carlile, Glen Hansard, Emmylou Harris, Norah Jones, Chaka Khan, Diana Krall, Kris Kristofferson, Los Lobos with La Marisoul, Cesar Castro & Xochi Flores, Graham Nash, Seal, James Taylor, Rufus Wainwright and more paid tribute to the iconic artist, performing songs from all stages of Mitchell’s life and career, across her entire catalog of 19 studio albums.

Every Wednesday, 1:00pm at the Twin. Cine Babies is presented by the Princess in partnership with Balancing from Birth to Baby

“This story sure has legs – and why shouldn’t it? The way the people of Gander, Newfoundland, opened their hearts to travellers rerouted to their town during the 9/11 attacks on the twin towers is the perfect emotional foil for the brutal violence of that day.
